About Me 🐾
Hi, I’m Kim — the face behind Kim’s Dog Grooming Service and a very proud pug mum to my gorgeous Henry.
I have been working in secondary education for 20 years, and a huge part of my teaching career has been working with special educational needs students and other vulnerable learners.
Earlier this year, I decided to learn a new skill and to follow my dream of also working with dogs.
Teaching is still an important part of my life, and dog grooming is something I am building carefully alongside it, with appointments available on Saturday afternoons and during school holidays.
My background has taught me that every individual is different, and I believe the same is true for our dogs. Some are confident, some are anxious, some have little quirks, and some simply need a bit more time, patience and understanding.
My own pug, Henry, has curvature of the spine, so I understand just how important gentle handling and individual care can be. When your dog is with me, their comfort and wellbeing will always come first.

I am currently offering two introductory packages on Saturday afternoons while I continue my iPET training.
Freshen Up
A lovely feel-good pamper for dogs who need a little refresh.
A refresh includes:
- Luxury bath and condition
- Blow dry
- Nail clipping, if needed
- Hygiene tidy
- Doggy cologne
Ideal for helping your dog feel cleaner, fresher and more comfortable.
Pawfect Pug Pamper
A special pamper session created with pugs in mind.
Includes everything in the Freshen Up package, with the addition of:
- Gentle wrinkle clean
- Extra care around the paws
- A calm and patient approach for sensitive pug personalities
As many pug owners know, paws and wrinkles can need a little extra care. This session is designed to feel gentle, loving and as stress-free as possible.
Inspired by my own little pug, Henry, this service is very close to my heart ❤️

Kim’s Dog Grooming Service is currently at the beginning of an exciting new journey.
As I complete my iPET Diploma and continue to grow my skills and experience, more services will be introduced.
I also hope to offer a lovely range of doggy pamper products and doggy parent pamper products in the future, bringing a little extra treat and self-care to both dogs and their humans.
For now, I am keeping things simple, focused and gentle — offering kind, caring Freshen Ups and Pawfect Pug Pamper sessions while building a lovely local client base.
